SOUTH Antrim DUP MLA Trevor Clarke has welcomed the installation of a new defibrillator in Templepatrick
He said: “I am proud to have worked with my colleague, local DUP Councillor Matthew Magill, in Templepatrick, to secure a new Defibrillator for Wallace Park.
TACA Templepatrick Action Community Association raised this issue with us at a community meeting that there was no 24/7 available defibrillator at Wallace Park.
With all the sporting and community events taking place at Wallace Park, this was a disaster waiting to happen.
“Councillor Magill who represents Airport DEA has been leading this effort at Council and thanks to the hard work of crafting a strong case that was put forward to the council officers we are grateful to see this has now been installed.
Councillor Magill added: “I am pleased to have worked with my colleague Trevor Clarke MLA and TACA Templepatrick Action Community Association to secure a defibrillator for Wallace Park.
“Having secured its procurement and installation, I was delighted to visit and see it in situ with Trevor and Alan McClintock of TACA.
“We all would hope this defibrillator will never be required, but I am glad it is now available for the people of Templepatrick.”
