New 'Brand' ambassador signs for Muckamore!

Muckamore Cricket Club is delighted to officially welcome Neil Brand as their overseas professional for the 2026 season.

Ivan McCombe from Muckamore CC said: “Neil hails from South Africa and brings with him a wealth of experience at the highest levels of the game.

“A classy left-handed batsman and left-arm spinner, Neil has made his mark in domestic and international cricket and we’re incredibly excited to see him showcase his talent at Moylena next summer.”

Brand represented and captained South Africa in a Test Match against New Zealand in 2024 and recently featured for South Africa A.

He also played 5 games as a sub Pro for Muckamore CC last season and scored 458 runs with a highest score of 131 and chipped with 7 wickets.

Muckamore 1st XI skipper Neil Gill is excited of the prospect of Brand playing in his team and said: “As captain of Muckamore Cricket Club, I’m thrilled with the signing of Neil Brand as our overseas professional for the 2026 season.

“Neil brings top-level experience, real quality with both bat and ball, and proven leadership qualities that will be a huge asset to our team.
