A local martial arts academy is fighting for a good cause this festive season.
Kinetic Martial Arts, based on Railway Street in Antrim town centre, will host a special charity training session on Saturday, November 29 at 12 noon as part of a Christmas toy collection for local children in need.
The initiative, organised in partnership with Action for Children, aims to bring some extra cheer to families who may be finding the cost of Christmas difficult this year.
Head Coach Marty Brammeld said the club was keen to do its bit for the local community.
“There are people in the community who are less fortunate, so we’re quite lucky to be in a position to help those people out by doing something we enjoy,” he said.
“We’re inviting anyone who trains in martial arts, or anyone locally who wants to donate a gift, to come along on the day — or drop into the academy any time between now and then to make a donation.”
Donations of new toys and gifts for children of all ages are welcome.
